Course overview
Join Catherine Maresca for a deep dive into the Level 3 typology studies, including background for each reading, modeling a close reading of selections of the texts with children and typology work in the atrium, and conversations about doctrinal content and direct aim. Your enrollment also includes a complimentary copy of Catherine's book Violence and Nonviolence in Scripture, which will be mailed to you directly.

The Prepared Environment in Learnworlds for each Forum will include a variety of resources related to its focus. Songs, readings, art, responses, practical life and reflections will be offered for your exploration.
Our Live Meetings on Zoom
Our Live Meetings on Zoom will give us an opportunity to deepen our understanding, and offer mutual support, practical tips and insight on the focus of each session.
Technology Requirements
This course incorporates the use of technology. You will receive information by email, you will upload and download documents, and be present interactively on Zoom. This requires internet access speed and audio/visual capabilities stable enough to engage in the online class and group discussion.
Meet the Instructor
Catherine Maresca lives in Washington DC with her husband and two dogs, enjoying visits with her five children and three grandchildren. She was the founding director of the Center for Children and Theology. She now works with CCTheo as a formation leader, research guide for Catechist Action Research in the Atrium, and publishing assistant. Her passion for both Montessori and the Atrium is met in her two theology degrees from Trinity University of Washington and Howard University School of Divinity, and years of work in the atrium at Christian Family Montessori School. She is the author of Sing with Joy, Songs of Love, DoubleClose, and Violence and Nonviolence in Scripture, as well as many published articles and essays.
